We are a young association of ex volunteers from different associations, we carry a host project in one of these associations. Our main aim is to share our experience among the associations and young people who are interested in European topics or making any project with any other European association.

We believe its is important to contribute to the youth associations with resources as for example the youth programme among others .

Among our activities, formation, culture and commune development issues also take place.

At the moment we offer a service in a volunteer way which consists in providing information to Quart de Poblet young people, information that deals with Europe and we are also trying to take part in one of the European information nets which exists in order to get divulgation materials, etc. We provide this service every Thursdays from 17 to 20 p.m, plus the information young centre of the council which consists in informing and advising about the different possible actions within the Europe programme for young people as well as about the Erasmus, Socrates grants; PAC; Meet Europe; laws, etc…

“Do Great Things Association” – Romania www.dgtassociation.blogspot.com

Briefly, D.G.T. Association is a non-governmental organization that was born from the passion of a few youngsters who wanted to take action and make a change in the society they were living into. D.G.T.’s founding members have also the desire to give back all the things they have learned and experienced during previous years of volunteering.

D.G.T.’s mission focuses on national and international networking among young people, students, trainers and teachers of different nationalities, cultures and backgrounds. It tackles topics such as inter-cultural exchange, non-formal education, ecology, climate change, sustainable development, European citizenship and international politics (geopolitics). All these are added to facilitate the accumulation of experience by young people, through voluntary activities, allowing them to put into practice the theory learned in school.

Regarding international activities like youth exchanges, trainings, conferences and other events of this sort, our members have very good experience, as we have worked with many foreign NGOs in elaborating and implementing such projects (YiA and CoE financing schemes). Activities have been performed in both EU (Germany, Italy, France, Luxembourg, Poland, Greece, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Spain) and non-EU (Turkey, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Albania) countries.

Themes of our past projects were related to social problems (migration, integration, fighting poverty, active citizenship), cultural aspects (respect for diversity, peaceful co-existence), political issues (democracy, freedom of speech), ecology, sports and arts (painting, photography, singing, dancing). Therefore, we have quite enough experience in a high variety of topics.

This is a public and free service available to everyone. (Still under construction)

Thanks to connections with international networks for young people, youth and ICM provides information on volunteering opportunities, exchange of young dih and participation in the program of the Youth in Action

“World at our home” – Latvia http://worldatourhome.com/

The Language and Cultural centre “World at Our Home” is a non-governmental organisation which is busy with international work and European projects and in which local inhabitants have the opportunity to learn foreign languages in order to gain greater opportunities for making successful choices in their career. The main aim of the organisation is the dissemination of information about different cultures.  We would like to continue work with local people to explain about actual and social problems, and democratic approval, to help with social integration in Latvia. The centre also organises seminars and cultural events in order to give the opportunity to local people to get European awareness, and to know and find out about different folk traditions and culture. We involve also disadvantaged people, especially immigrants with the aim to give them more opportunity to be part of society. Our aim is to continue cooperation with the European Youth programme and gain experience in exchanges between European Countries.
